Figures.com have now posted numerous pictures of the AvPR Alien, Predator, and Predalien Hot Toys figures.
There’s also a Facehugger figure too which you can see here. Thanks to Harry at AliensVsPredator.de for the news.
As we found out a while ago, Hot Toys are making AvPR figures too. Figures.com got a first look at them including an interview with Hot Toys about them.

They’re also considering making a 1:6 scale Alien Queen (from Aliens) figure and they have plans to release Predator 1 figures including character figures. Check out Figures.com for pictures of the new Alien, Predator and Hybrid figures which go on sale in 2008. Thanks to ONEYE for the news.
It’s been a busy week on the forum. Colin has posted quite a lot of new details about the movie. Firstly, the movie takes place over two days. As we know, the movie will start off where AvP finished. With Scar on the altar. They re-used the chestburster puppet and the Scar dummy, but they re-designed the altar, ship interior, etc to make it much more Predator like. There are about 8 Aliens vs Predator fights, and another 8 Aliens/Predator vs Human fights. Some of them are big fights while others are short.
There’s still so much confusion surrounding the hybrid’s new reproduction method. It was revealed a while ago that there would be no Eggs. Firstly, the Predalien Queen is not actually a fully matured Queen thus it can’t lay eggs. There are many Facehuggers in the movie, but there’s a lot of Facehuggers on the ship. Not sure if more Facehuggers appear later or where this reproduction method fits into it. There will apparently be cocooning too though I don’t think this is specifically egg-morphing as in Alien: The Director’s Cut. Everybody assumed the Predalien would implant a chestburster embryo but in fact it could very well be a Facehugger embryo.
Sierra have launched the Official Site for the AvPR PSP game. Looks very well made.
It has a lot of stuff including pictures, concept art, videos, and wallpapers. Thanks to Gonzossm for the news.
A little update from NECA. They’ve released packaging shots of the Alien and Hybrid figures for AvP Requiem.
“Today, we give fans a further look at Series 1 of our AVP: Requiem Action Figures as we debut the first images of both the Warrior Alien and Predalien Hybrid in packaging. You can find both figures on shelves next month, but for now, take a look at our extensive image gallery…”Thanks to Xeno from AliensVsPredator.de for the news.
So here we are. First review for the recently released PSP game from Rebellion. The daddy of AvP games. So…sucks for me to say it’s basically a “meh” review:
“I have no strong opinions on this game. It’s not broken. It’s not awesome. It just is. It’s there. It’s not going to challenge you, but it’s not going to frustrate you too badly. It’s not going to captivate you, but it’s not going to repel you. If you want to run around cloaking yourself and destroying a bunch of easy-as-pie aliens, this is here. If not, this is still here. Do what you will with it.”
So pretty much like every other piece of Alien/Predator related merchandise we get then. Well, is only one opinion. IGN scored it 5.5. You can read the review here. And while you’re over there, be sure to check out the new videos and pictures.
AvPR has officially been completed according to co-director Colin Strause who posted the news on our forum:
“We wrapped up at 9:30 last night. All that is left to do is watch the final film Sunday to make sure there isn’t any technical issues with it. I just want to say a huge “thank you!” to everyone who worked on the film, and I can’t wait until all the fans get to the see what we’ve been slaving over for the last year and a half.”
Greg Strause also made a similar thread over on IMDB and apparently the movie will look quite different from the trailers. They finished colour-grading last night and the prints start getting made next week.
New closeup shots of the Predator Life-Size Bust has been posted on Sideshow Collectibles. The item is estimated to ship in 2008 and has a price of $900.
“The Predator Life-Size Bust is cast in high-quality polystone and fiberglass, and features soft polyurethane dreadlocks that are individually cast and attached to the bust. The piece is detailed with all the gruesome features of a Predator who has encountered the acid-blooded Xenomorphs many times before, complete with scarring, dead eye, and a missing mandible. Each piece is hand-cast, hand-finished, and hand-painted to exacting standards, then individually hand-numbered.”
Thanks to Hudson82 for the news.

Actress Reiko Aylesworth (who plays Kelly in AvPR) was interviewed by a radio station called Tony Rose Morning Show. Somebody uploaded an eight-minute clip of this to YouTube. She starts talking about AvPR at about 5:30. Nothing really new though. She said the movie was fun and that’s she’s proud of it. She goes on to say the cast is great and the movie will look great.
Thanks to Shipley from PlanetAvP for the news.
