Looks like the next issue of Fangoria is going to be a big one. Take a look at the Chestburster on the front cover:

This will have an in-depth article about AvP Requiem and probably lots of new pictures like they did for AvP. The magazine goes on sale on October 23. Thanks to Izzet over at Alien Experience for the news.

AvPGalaxy and Fox have teamed up to give away ten copies of the recently released AvPR teaser poster. All you have to do is answer ten multi-choice questions that test your knowledge of things related to AvP Requiem.

The competition ends on Friday 5th October. There are no location restrictions, but you must be a member of AvPGalaxy to enter. So what the hell you waiting for?! Go enter!

In the latest issue of Fangoria they’ve put up a preview of AvPR. Turns out they visited the set during production and had chance to look around:

“Shivering against the cold, they huddle for the warmth and laugh congenially with one another, their voices quivering as their teeth chatter. Reiko smiles widely and says “I’ve done action-on TV shows – but nothing on this scale.” The others nod as water drips from their hair. Just as they begin to warm up, the call comes in that they’re ready for a fresh take.”

It talks about the Bro’s previous pitch, involvement and a little about the scenes being shot. Pvt Hicks was kind enough to transcribe it and post it on the forum. Be sure to pick up the latest issue of Fangoria.

AvPR’s release date is drawing closer and that means it’s time for Fox to start milking the money cow. And in what is starting to become a long line of “Ultimate AvP sets” we have an Aussie exclusive: Alien Vs. Predator – The Ultimate Showdown: DVD Collector’s Set:

“EzyDVD are proud to announce the Australian EXCLUSIVE release for this Limited Edition Monster Box Set featuring 2-Disc Special Edition versions of all 7 Alien/Predator films along with a stylish diorama of a Predator warrior skewering a freshly-hatched Alien! Don’t miss out on this intimidating, must-own collection!”

That about says it all really. It’s a repackaging of what will no doubt be the Quad DVDs, Collectors Edition Predator DVDs and the Unrated AvP. But on the upside, it has a cool little figurine set. You can get this limited edition set off of EzyDVD. Thanks to The Necronoir and Leonard for the news.

Hicks over at Alien Experience has done another fab trailer review, this time for the Population Trailer that was released last week. Here’s a little bit:

“The most interesting angle of this trailer is the same reason it’s dubbed the ‘population’ trailer. As the kills mount the town’s population drops, and as I am told, the numbers are indicative of the actual body count in the film, albeit not exactly accurate down to the last number.

I believe the setup at the beginning is an intentional attempt to lure the viewer into thinking they are watching a trailer for the next run-of-the-mill slasher flick, when out of nowhere all hell breaks loose, and next thing you know the Predator and Predalien are fighting it out toe-to-toe!”

It covers the positives and the negatives. Be sure to check the rest out.

Alien Experience were lucky enough to get their hands on two concept designs that were made during pre-production in 2006. One is concept artwork of the Predator’s “cleaner case” and the other is a sculpture of the Predator’s mask.

They’ve also got concept artwork of the newly released teaser poster for AvP Requiem. Thanks to Ishallsmitethee for the news.

The first AvP Requiem poster has finally been released. JoBlo.com have posted an exclusive first look at the teaser poster on their website. Take a look:

I like it. Far better than the first AvP poster that came out. Thanks to Norwegian_Plague for the news.

Looks like a new AvPR trailer has made its way online. It definitely isn’t the green-band trailer but it does include some of the footage from it.

It’s a pretty cool trailer. Shows off the life of people in Gunnison. We see things like Kelly coming home and Ricky with a girl. While there is still quite a few new bits of footage, we see clearer bits of the green-band such as the chestburster in the sewer. Pretty damn cool.

It’s called the Population Trailer due to the population countdown on it. It’s the top trailer: “Velg trailerstørrelse”. Thanks to Norwegian_Plague & AdamJZ for the news.

Stream: FilmWeb, YouTube
Download: FilmWeb, AvPGalaxy (36MB)
40 Caps have also been added to the Gallery.

Update – Darkness: I added a new Trailer Analysis article that covers all the new scenes in the trailer.

What can I say? We seem to get all the news in big sprouts. AvP2 news all in one, then merch news. Go figure. Anyway, we’ve known about it for ages but Dark Horse has finally put a profile page up for Steve Perry’s new Predator novel:

“Deep in the Alaskan forest, ranger Sloan comes across the torn and bloody carcasses of Grizzly bears. Searching a human cause for the massacres, he discovers a team of poachers hunkered within the Alaska wilderness, waiting for the chance to score a big kill. He also finds evidence of the most fearsome killers in the universe: the Predators.”

Also online is a clearer version of the cover. You can view the profile page here. Turnabout is due for release on February the 27th. Next up we have the profile page the upcoming Predator Omnibus Volume 2 as well. And last but not least, the preview for AvP Vol2 is also online. Enjoy.
